I love Ubuntu

Post  nemo on Mon Mar 09, 2009 3:44 pm

Ubuntu is a great OS but it is unfortunately doesn't support my hardware so...

Ubuntu is a great system. It is linux which means it's based off of UNIX (Unix is the first OS designed for multiple users i.e. a website). So it is a secure system, unlike windows. Its preferred by computer nerds and hackers alike. It comes with great software like a WHOIS look-up. Unfortunately it does not have such features as plug and play and is not supported by basically anything. So any hardware you want to install has to be manually installed with text interface.

I currently run Windows Vista 32 bit. I have tried to run Ubuntu but as i said it wasn't compatible. I have also run Windows 7 but thats a whole different topic. Windows Vista as I've said before is a very secure system in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. But it can be very annoying. Now Windows was never designed to go on the internet. It was meant for only one user and is was never a very secure system. Well Vista was supposed to fix tht but... Windows screwed up and hopefully Windows 7 will fix tht (and by "tht" i mean Vista). Overall i like Vista but sometimes its GUI is a little much. (GUI is Graphic User Interface)

i like my Windows Vista and i dont like the anti-vista ads that Apple brings up on TV all the time. My laptop has a Vista OS and it never ever crashed or had any problems. Especially the ones those damn Apple commercials claim they have. Vista has better navigation than the previous XP system and it runs quite well unless you just have a crappy computer all together. I mostly use my computer for gaming and doing homework and editing videos and uploading them, so I don't have a whole ton of things to say. I'm used to Vista, and I love it.
